SUNRISE JAZZ & RHYTHM FEST 2008

Eight talented artistes, 4 nights and 1 venue makes for 2 weekends of
great live jazz entertainment. The Sunrise Jazz & Rhythm Fest 2008
returns for the 9th consecutive year on July 25-26 and August 1-2,
featuring various sub-genre of jazz such as neo jazz,folk jazz,
modern, ethnic and blues at Plaza Mont’Kiara.A showcase of Malaysian
talents, the event kicks-off with jazz "giant” Lewis Pragasam & Friends
playing funk, rhythm & blues with back-up vocals by Diana Liu on opening
nite. Other acts not to be missed are the amazing jazz vocalist Mia
Palencia, the very young and talented Hunny Madu and our very own
Farid ‘Mr Gambus’ Ali. Spread out over two weekends, the excitement
continues with blues jazz singer / songwriter, Karen Nunis Blackstone and
5-piece band Bassgroove 100, Phunk Mob and Wave Alchemist by Dennis
Lau with Gina Panizales.
